Hosta Minuteman Ampelaster Sarcococca x confusa makes aBelieve it or not, H. 'Patriot' has been improved upon. This stunning 1994 introduction from Virginia's Mobjack Nursery has a much darker green center than H. 'Patriot' but is surrounded by the same sharply contrasting wide, pure white border. In early summer, the 4' wide clumps are topped with sturdy stalks of lavender flowers.
